Hi, my name is Sheryl. Today I am going to tell you about my Taekwondo Journey. I started Taekwondo in 2019 when I was five years old. I didn’t know a single thing about martial arts. I started at white belt, and I passed my grading to become purple belt.
But in 2020 Covid-19 began to spread so we had to do Taekwondo lessons online. I enjoyed Taekwondo on zoom, but I prefer face-to-face lessons.
I did Taekwondo for three years and we had to grade to get to a higher stripe or belt. I am now a Chodanbo Three. I learnt a lot and knew many things such as poomsae, sparring, terminology, blocking, striking and self-defense. If I hadn’t started Taekwondo, I would be very bored. Taekwondo has helped me through tough challenges and helped me to be more confident in everything I do.
