belt promotion
Grading is the formal way that students progress at each belt level. All techniques are taught in class and the prerequisites at each progressive level are outlined in our comprehensive grading syllabus.
Students are judged based on their knowledge and skill level of the required kicking and hand techniques, poomsae, self defence techniques and Korean terminology. Our Kukkiwon-standard curriculum covers syllabus required to achieve internationally recognised Kukkiwon Black Belt certification. Grading is held at the end of every term in March, June, September and November. Higher Dan | Poom Grading is held in June and November. Due to their young age, Mini & Little Juniors are not expected to follow the Main Grading Syllabus and move up the Belt rank at the same pace as older students. It is important for Mini & Little Juniors to learn and progress at their own pace. It is also equally important that they have an attainable goal that enables them to progress through the belt ranks and stay motivated. Mini & Little Juniors will start at Foundation Levels, aim to build strong foundations for Main Grading System.
