I started off taekwondo when I was 5 years old. Since I was very young, at the time, I don’t remember much although I do remember getting very excited whenever I went. But then I stopped going after I moved houses. Soon after I found out Yangchi joined Joon No's taekwondo / WeiWu taekwondo and I also joined. I remember the first time I came to join when the teachers thought I was Yangchi which was a very interesting first impression. I was a bit shy at first but as time passed I wasn’t shy anymore. At first I found all the teachers a bit scary but In about a year or so I realized that they were not as scary as I initially thought.

I used to feel a bit nervous every grading but when I was grading for red 3 and chodano I was terrified so much so my face was apparently white. I joined warriors training when it started along with my friends that I made along my journey, I didn't know what to expect since I was still kind of new. I was pretty excited and was determined to work hard. In 2019 I had my first state competition and I was really nervous. I knew that it wasn't going to be easy. I lost the first fight and came second place, after I felt disappointed but then I had an understanding of where I was. I am grateful to my teachers and parents for letting me join this competition and letting me build an experience that I will never forget, like ever forget.

Fast forward to September where we had our first WeiWu taekwondo club championships. I felt like I and along with the whole club was really growing. It was a fun experience because I bonded with a lot of the people there, it was also where I got my first gold medal. It was fun to cheer on for my club members. Taekwondo has made my life more exciting, I have made many friends. The possibilities that WeiWu taekwondo has given to me and as well as many or other people is eye opening, my journey is a long bumpy road and i still need to improve but I know that i can do it with a little help.

I want to thank Master Brian for always making sure I reach my limits and making sure I do it correctly even if he can be scary while doing so. I want to thank Master Joyce for always encouraging me and making sure that I was up to date with everything. I want to thank Master Bryanna for always making me laugh and making me have a good time during training (and ruining some of my favorite songs). I want to thank Master Benecia for helping me understand what I was doing (and making Master Bryanna stop singing). Thank you for being amazing teachers and I look forward to learning more from you.
