My name is Piros. I am 9 years old. Thank you for being here tonight for my online black belt grading.
When I was 5 years old, me and my Dad were looking for some martial art for me. We started with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu but I didn't really like it, so we were trying to find something else.
Our second shot was a Wei Wu taekwondo class in Mitcham and on my first class I found an old school friend Jack, and that is why I started to like going to the classes. Then my brother, Patrik joined when he was about 3 years old. When he was a white belt, I was already purple one with lots of experience.
During the years I have attended hundreds of classes and started competition training as well. I have learnt more than just kicks, strikes, blocks, self-defence and poomsae but I also learnt resilience, hard work and my self-confidence improved a lot. I have also been to some competitions, won some medals and really enjoyed them. So far, I have had a fabulous journey, and I can't wait to go back to face to face training and have more.
Master Joyce, Master Brian, Master Bryanna and Master Benecia! Thank you for teaching me the taekwondo basics, replacing my wrong techniques and train me for the competitions. Thanks to my Dad for bringing me to every class and competitions, pushing and supporting me all the way.
