I was 5 years old when I started my taekwondo journey . I didn't know what to expect. I felt scared but excited about all the skills and techniques I can learn. I first learnt strikes and kicks from master Joyce, and the basic blocks as well. As the belts got higher and the strikes, block, kicks and syllabus got more advanced, I practised harder so I can remember everything that I have learnt.
I faced hard challenges like lock down but that didn't stop me from reaching Cho dan bo, I am now determined to reach black belt and show everyone that i can prove to be a true black belt.
Since I joined taekwondo I've learned many life skills such as disciplines and self motivation and I've also made many friends along the way.
At this very moment I have achieved what I have been aiming for and I am going to keep going forward from now on.
Now that I have reached black belt I'm looking forward to learning new patterns, getting better at sparring and learning more advanced self defence.
I would like to thank the masters for teaching me everything and my family for supporting me along the way. I am also looking forward to my next chapter of my taekwondo journey and the invaluable life skills.
