I joined the Club when I was 6 years old along with my 3 year old sister. At the time I had just stopped swimming lessons and needed a new activity to do. My Mum saw a Taekwondo Ad in the Local Child Magazine, so we went and did the free trials. I liked it so I joined and started my Taekwondo journey.
I really enjoyed competing in my first Club competition so when I was asked to train for State competitions, I was really excited.
Even though I didn’t win a medal at my first State Poomsae competition, my Instructors continuously helped me to improve my technique. Eventually I went from winning nothing to winning a bronze medal and then a gold medal!
I really appreciate my instructors' patients, Master Brian for correcting my technique, Master Joyce for helping me when I first joined the club, Master Bryanna and Master Benecia for helping me with my Grading Syllabus and Warrior Training.
Today I feel very happy after 3 years of hard work and training that I am finally receiving my black belt.
