Hello, I would like to firstly thank Master Benecia, Master Bryanna, Master Brian and Master Joyce and parents and friends for being here today to support and watch me in achieving my black belt.
My name is Cristiano. My dad wanted to put me into Martial Arts and to build up my confidence. He had searched and found Joon No / WeiWu and found out they were training in Lalor / Mill Park so he arranged to take me for a try out which was in April 2017. I was shy when I started. I had two friends who came to try out with me so I felt a bit confident they were there and after a few try outs I started to like it and noticed it was building up my confidence and I became more social with my peers at taekwondo as well as improvement at my primary school that teachers had noticed was a change in me.
I also enjoy doing warriors training with our warriors team and getting to socialize and train with our team in Mitcham and the support we have for one another in our whole taekwondo team feels like a second family to me.
I got to participate in my first Victorian Championship in Parkville and it was such a different atmosphere and experience. I’m so glad I got to experience that cause it made me want to thrive to achieve more and make me more stronger in myself.
I want to thank all my Masters for pushing me to get to my best and for never giving up on me, even when at times I need a real kick up the backside to keep me focused to push myself harder. Lastly I like to thank my parents for giving up their time to take me to training and making sure I never miss my classes and push me the hardest to get better results and improve in myself to be the best that I can and push me to take chances.
So I wanna give a big thank you to my whole team for all the support and love you give.
