I started taekwondo when I was 5 years old. When I started taekwondo as a white belt, I thought it was all about just punching and kicking and embarrassing yourself when you grade but gradually over the years, I started to realise that it was different. While I did learn how to kick and break boards, I learnt that self-control and self-defence are more important. I learnt to be stronger although my body parts hurt from sparring. More important, I learnt to have courage to keep going even though it hurt. It thought me discipline and cooperation.
Thank you to all my masters for believing I can do it and dedicating and supporting me in everything. Taekwondo has made me stronger mentally and physically after a lot of tears, bruises and scars throughout the 5 years of training. I would finally get my black belt.
